Closing Price, Volume & Call Volume

Volume analysis can be important for making trade decisions. Volume analysis is the examination of the number of shares or contracts of a security that have been traded in a given time period. The graphs display the SPY closing price along with daily volume and the number of call option contracts recorded. A significant price increase along with a significant volume increase, for example, could be a sign of an uptrend or a bullish reversal. Likewise, a significant price decrease with a significant volume increase can be a sign of a downw trend or a bearish trend reversal.
